| Somehow you have, or something has, installed a trial version of our PICVideo Motion JPEG CODEC. You either need to uninstall or register this product to make our watermark go away. Sorry, but we wouldn't have installed without letting you know that you were in a trial mode and that the images created in trial mode would be watermarked. To Register PICVideo MJPEG Codec: Visit our website at the link below to purchase a licensed version of this product. Single use copies are priced very reasonably at $28 for non-commercial use. $28 Special Offer for Non-Commercial Users To uninstall the PICVideo MJPEG Codec from a Windows operating system: Go to the Start Menu, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. You will be presented with a list of all programs found in the Programs directory. Select PICVideo CODECs from the list. Run the uninstaller then restart the computer. Verify that the files: pvmjpg21.dll, pvmjpg20.dll, pvmjpg20.hlp, pvljpg20.dll, pvwv220.dll, pvmjpg30.dll, and pvmjpg30.chm do not exist on your system. If they do, delete them. (They would have been placed in the Windows system folder by the installer - often c:windows\system32 or winnt\system32 - in any case, search the whole system for best results) If these files are found after running the uninstaller, just delete them. PICVideo does not alter your input files, so they will not be watermarked. |

| Carefully select all the movie icons with the PICVideo watermark on them and then right-click on one of the icons. You should see an item on the menu that pops up called "Refresh Thumbnail". Select this item and force Explorer to regenerate the thumbnails, the PICVideo watermark should now be gone from the icons. |

| There are a couple possible reasons you may be receiving this error 1) Please make sure you are entering your registration name EXACTLY as it appears in your registration email you received upon purchasing the product. This information is case sensitive. Note: It is best to cut-and-paste from this email directly. 2) Please also make sure you are entering your registration information for the Decompressor product ID of 2011 and Compressor product ID of 2211. If the Product ID numbers are anything different than this, you are attempting to register a different Codec. To check which Codec you have installed, check the Decompressor and Compressor Product ID on the Settings Window of the PICVideo Codec. To display the Settings Window of the PICVideo Codec, please follow the steps listed below under the appropriate Operating System: Windows 95/98 or NT system: From the Start Menu, Settings, Control Panel, Multimedia applet, select the Devices tab then expand the Video Compression Codecs section. Select the PICVideo MJPEG CODEC and press the Properties button. Choose Settings and then enter the registration name and code in the appropriate box. Remember to cut and paste your name and number from the email Pegasus Imaging sent. Windows 2000 system: From the Start Menu, Settings, Control Panel, Sounds and Multimedia applet, select the Hardware tab, select Video Codecs, and then press the Properties button. From here, click the Properties tab, select the PICVideo MJPEG CODEC and press the Properties button. Choose Settings and then enter the registration name and code in the appropriate box. Remember to cut and paste your name and number from the email Pegasus Imaging sent. Windows XP system: From the Start Menu, Control Panel, Sounds, Speech & Audio Devices, Sounds and Audio Devices, select the Hardware tab, select Video Codecs, and then press the Properties button. From here, click the Properties tab, select the PICVideo MJPEG CODEC and press the Properties button. Choose Settings and then enter the registration name and code in the appropriate box. Remember to cut and paste your name and number from the email Pegasus Imaging sent. Windows Vista System: From the Start menu, select Program Files, Pegasus Imaging, PICVideo ,Video Codec Configuration Tool. Select "PICVideo M-JPEG Codec" from the list of codecs and click the Configure button to display the configuration dialog. Enter the registration name and code in the appropriate box. Remember to cut and paste your name and number from the email Pegasus Imaging sent. |

| PLEASE NOTE: These instructions apply to Windows Vista in addition to other operating systems. From the Start menu, select Program Files, Pegasus Imaging, PICVideo 3, Video Codec Configuration Tool. Select "PICVideo M-JPEG 3 VfW Codec" from the list of codecs and click the Configure button to display the configuration dialog. Enter the appropriate serial number and registration code in the appropriate box and click OK. If you are registering PICVideo for Windows XP SP2 on 64-bit AMD CPUs, you need to download the latest PICVideo from the website, version 3.0.0.11 or above. The download is here: http://www.pegasusimaging.com/picvideo.htm. If you are seeing a message that reads,”The Serial Number is incorrect. Please enter the correct serial number or press Cancel on the dialog”, please follow the steps as outlined below to resolve this issue: 1) First make sure you have installed the latest CODEC from the link in the email. If you need the installer you can obtain it here: http://www.pegasusimaging.com/picvideo.htm. 2) Make sure you are registering the MJPEG CODEC and not the lossless JPEG CODEC or Wavelet CODEC. 3) Verify the Decompressor versus the compressor screens, as you have two different sets of numbers. The Decompressor Serial Number has a “D” in the 4th position of the Serial Number. The Compressor Serial Number has a “C” in the 4th position of the Serial Number. |

| Please follow these steps to troubleshoot M-JPEG playback: [1] Verify the file is actually an M-JPEG AVI. Essentially, QuickTime files can only be rendered by Apple's QuickTime: http://www.apple.com/quicktime A good tool for getting info on movie files is GSpot: http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ A good website for getting additional info on video types is fourcc.org: http://www.fourcc.org [2] Verify PICVideo M-JPEG 3 is set to be the primary M-JPEG codec. You can check this by running our Codec Configuration Tool and verifying the "Make Primary M-JPEG Codec" box is checked. If you're still having problems, please contact Pegasus Support (www.pegasusimaging.com/request.htm) and describe: - How you acquired the M-JPEG file. If you made the file yourself, please tell us your OS, the make and model of the capture device you used, the name and version of the software you used to create the M-JPEG file, and the colorspace from which you were encoding (compressing) [RGB24, YV12, etc.] - What software you're having problems with. (For example, does the file play back fine in WMP and have problems in Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.) - For those of you editing, to which colorspace are you rendering (decompressing)? [RGB24, YV12, etc.] - What compressor/decompressor settings are you using? Send a screenshot if you prefer. |
